The Couple
Alex (Bride) & Chris (Groom)
They met in 2019 through their mutual friend Steve when attending his son’s 1st birthday party. Their first conversation was about food, art, and television — which pretty much set the tone for how they both have spent their time together since.

After meeting, Chris and Alex talked for a month leading up to their eventual first date on December 29, 2019, at Dante in Greenwich Village. Chris found Alex very easy to talk to and she put him at ease. She very much felt the same.
This same night Alex learned Chris has a penchant for interjecting with fun facts. She has told multiple friends that she finds this quality endearing. They plan to hold her to that statement in the many years to come.
This first date quickly turned into a second date, that even more quickly turned into a third date where they rung in the New Year together.
Chris is from New Hampshire and Alex is from Long Island. One of these facts is extremely obvious when one of these people opens their mouth.
They were each raised by loving families and remain close to them, cherishing the time spent as often as possible.
When they met, Alex was living in NYC and Chris was living outside of Boston, after living in NYC years prior. They both studied art & design in college and are both graphic designers in industries they love: Alex in film & television at HBO and Chris in sports & apparel at ’47.
They dated long-distance for a while. Long car rides and Amtrak schedules proved no match for the couple, who made each visit so special for one another.
And as their love grew, the distance dwindled.
In the spring of 2021, they moved in together in Brooklyn and made up for a lot of romantic dates that got cut short in the spring of 2020.
They went to exciting and delicious restaurants, made handmade cards for each other, cooked meals for their friends, and hosted Alex’s brother, Brett, for game nights. But on most days, they could be found walking with iced coffees through Brooklyn Heights.
Their favorite vacation they’ve taken was to Bar Harbor, Maine in the summer of 2022. It was a week that has yet to be beaten, full of hiking Acadia National Park, eating lobster rolls, and waking up to the coastal breeze. They are eagerly awaiting their honeymoon in Italy which they anticipate stealing the top spot.
Chris proposed to Alex on the most beautiful autumn day New York has ever seen. On September 17th, 2022, he asked her to marry him while sitting on a bench in a quiet garden in the West Village. She said "Yes!".
They shared negronis at Dante immediately after, followed by a celebratory dinner.
Alex thinks Chris is immensely talented, endearingly silly, and has the best eyelashes in any room.
She also finds him to be of extremely good character, loving, patient, and selfless.
Chris loves Alex's warm smile, her eternal thoughtfulness, her kindness, and her freckles. She is an unmatched gift-giver.
He fell for her selfless heart, strong passions, and tender, sensitive soul.
They are both very much in love and very much excited to get married.
They can’t wait for you to join them in celebrating the life they’ve built together and all the happiness that awaits.
